Golf at the Calgary Flames Sports Bank!

We all know the golf season in Calgary is far shorter than we all want it to be just with the change in forecast day by day. However, golf is just as popular as ever in Calgary and Southern Alberta.

With professionals like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Tommy Fleetwood, Tiger Woods just to name a few. But we can’t forget about all the Canadian talent also on the tours like Nick Taylor, Corey Conners or how about LPGA professional Brooke Henderson.

At the Calgary Flames Sports Bank, we love golf. From playing golf ourselves, to assisting children in getting equipment, to helping with over 60 different golf tournaments every year. Golf is definitely one of the most popular sports for our team at the Calgary Flames Sports Bank.

Over the past two years, we have helped over 30 children, get into golf with free clubs, tees, bags, shoes, and of course golf balls.

While the golf season has been underway for a couple of months now, we still need your help to get more children into the game this year. Donate your gently used golf equipment to any of the Wood Automotive Car Dealerships in and around Calgary and Southern Alberta.

This includes clubs, balls, bags, and shoes. Please keep in mind that your donation is going to children 18-years-old and younger, so if the clubs are more than 18 years old, we unfortunately can’t take them at the Calgary Flames Sports Bank. We want these children to use the newest gear possible, to ensure they can hit the ball and really enjoy the game and want to go back to the golf course over and over again.

Your donation goes a long way in helping us help more children get into the game of golf, and who knows you may just help a future Canadian Master Champion like Mike Weir.
